Mechanikus termosztát elosztóhoz (hőmérsékleti relé, hőmérsékleti érzékelő, hőrelé, levegő hőmérséklet-szabályozó relé) beépített levegő hőmérséklet-érzékelővel DIN sínre történő telepítéshez ventilátor csatlakoztatására vagy jelzésre, amikor a hőmérséklet a beállított szint fölé emelkedik, normálisan egy nyitott érintkező (NO érintkező) PTVT, 2p, csavaros terminálok, bimetál termosztátok Plastim.

Ezek a termosztátok olyan rendszerekben használatosak, amelyek a hűtőelemek, például ventilátorok vagy klímaberendezések segítségével fenntartják a beállított hőmérsékletet.
