Phase protective relay without neutral conductor with asymmetry regulation and phase sequence control, for the protection of three-phase motors with sensitive asymmetry values against faults caused by network voltage. Phase voltage range: 240 - 500 V
Usage the device and operating principle
Connect the device according to the wiring diagram.
Set asymmetry parameters, error delay time and device reset time according to operating load voltage. If the device is under voltage and the voltage values are normal according to the set asymmetry value, the relay activates and the relay LED () lights up. For models with phase sequence control, the phase sequence must also be correct. If the voltage values exceed the set asymmetry value, the LED lights up the asymmetry error diode (Asm.) and the device waits for the delay time (DT). After after this time the relay deactivates and the relay LED goes out. When the voltage returns to normal, the device waits for the reset time (RT). After the time has elapsed, the LED the asymmetry error diode (Asm.) goes out, the relay activates and the relay LED lights up lights up.
How calculate asymmetry?
Calculation asymmetry is performed according to the following formula and the most suitable setting the asymmetry value is adjusted depending on the load.
Asymmetry = (Max voltage - Min voltage) / Max voltage) x 100
Example: ((245-200)/245) x 100 =% 18.3
