Reactive power control relays are designed to reduce reactive power (inductive and capacitive) that is not used by the load and is drawn from the grid. If inductive power is taken from the network, it intervenes by taking the capacitor at a suitable value. If the capacitive power is taken from the network, it intervenes by removing the shunt choke at a suitable value. In this way, it tries to reduce the inductive/active and capacitive/active speeds of the system. It is designed to provide more reasonable compensation for unbalanced inductive and capacitive systems with the RGT-MT18 TCR step
